Fulla Comic-y Goodness

I've been reading a history of the comic 2000AD which is pretty much the only UK comic left besides Beano and Dandy and is the one that really kickstarted my obsession with the world of comics fun. For a lifelong fan like me, it's a fascinating warts'n'all look at the behind the scenes story but, more importantly than that, it's reminded me of some of the mad, old-school comics covers they used to have in the early years. So, today, instead of your usual weekend video post, here's a 2000AD front cover picture post for you to enjoy. My favourite? Well, see if you can guess...

After strict application of the kapgaf principle (a highly complex procedure that involves choosing the ones you like best) I've narrowed it down to two: -
Composition : Flesh, Conclusion : Edible
and
The Plague from Pluto.

Application of the kapgaf default principle (similar to the kapgaf principle but applied when there are only two propositions) puts the first as winner.

Word verif : clisms (good name for a cat)

I'm going with the 3 headed thingy.

Also, I have never read 2000AD. Which surprises even me.

I have never heard of 2000 AD. They look awesome.

Growing up I used to save my meager allowance to buy a comic each Saturday. It was my favorite thing to walk to town and visit the news stand. I still have many of my comics from all those years ago. What a pleasure it was to do such a simple thing.

They just bring joy to our lives.

Well, I don't know which one is YOUR favorite but give me a dinosaur of some sort with human heads over robots and apes any time.

kapgaf made me dizzy, but I kinda liked it.

kapgaf - Oh, the technique was good but I think you forgot to carry the one. You managed to pick out my second favourite. However...

Anna - Yep, you're spot on. Human/dinosaur combo, it's a winner.
I am shocked. Although you have read some 2000AD as I remember you mentioning Halo Jones...

Sweet Cheeks - Yep, comics are brilliant. Well, I would say that seeing as I've got around 40-odd boxes full of the buggers...

Pearl - Well, it turns out you were right, too, as that one is my favourite and I live in hope that it may one day be possible...

Ahh, geek pass revoked - I didn't realise that was 2000AD. I love her!
